Founded in 1995 by optics manufacturing experts (in both commercial and military optics), Rainbow Research Optics (RRO) has been exclusively serving the High Precision Optical Markets in the United States and around the world. We specialize in custom prototype and high precision optics applications. We can provide high volume quantities for production lines of OEM system manufacturers.
In November 2009, we moved into our custom built 30,000 sq/ft manufacturing facility in Centennial, CO where we produce single prototypes to large scale productions for numerous industries.
We take pride in our appearance and impact on our community. Our building was awarded by our local township for its appeal. This is where our manufacturing, sales, and administrative personnel are located.

Test Plate and Tool Inventory
This isn’t even half of our inventory. We have over 1000 sets of test-plates and over 900 sets of grinding tools. We can design and build new tools in our machine and fabrication departments.
Machine Shop
A variety of tools and fixtures required during the fabrication and coating process are made with ease in our machine shop. This lets us reduce our production costs and lead times.
Fabrication
Prior to polishing, the materials are sent to this fabrication shop for curve-generation and grinding. We can design and build custom tools on location to meet your needs.
Conventional, Duel Sided, High Speed, and Continuous Polishing
Our production area has multiple rooms each serving a different purpose.
Coating Department
We’re prepared for any situation with E-Beam, Evaporative, Planetary Coaters. We design and shoot our coatings in-house. Click here to learn more about our coating shop.
